Boats is a screensaver written in C++ designed for Windows XP. It is based on the algorithm mentioned at
this link that describes a fast way to simulate a plane of water as a heightmap. It creates a series of boats which drive over your desktop when idle, leaving trails of refracting, shaded waves.
